Product Blueprint

This document governs engagements for Codemodo's Product Blueprint service only. Product Blueprint is a pre-development planning service offered in two tiers: Standard (built on assumptions) or Pro (built on real data via a research phase scoped per engagement). Pricing is proposal-based and set after the discovery call. It does not cover high-fidelity design, development, implementation, branding, or business strategy. For any engagement beyond this scope, a separate proposal and agreement apply.

Tier System

Product Blueprint is offered in two tiers. Tier is selected before contract signing and locked at the start of the engagement.

The Standard tier is built on assumptions. The plan is structured from client input: the founder's story, knowledge, and hypothesis. No research phase, no validation step, no vendor selection. Codemodo translates client vision into structured deliverables but does not validate against real user data.

Pro tier is built on real data and is scope-based. It includes all Standard deliverables, with persona upgraded and feature scoping validated through a research phase scoped per engagement. It adds Customer Journey Map, ERD, Risk Analysis, Feature Roadmap, Vendor Recommendation (specific, validated), and Research Findings. The exact research methods, sample size, and recruitment plan are agreed in the proposal. Final price and engagement terms are confirmed after the discovery call.

Tier upgrade or downgrade mid-engagement is handled via Change Order, subject to scope re-scoping and price adjustment.

Service-Specific Terms

Payment

TermAmountWhen
Milestone-basedPer milestone schedule defined in proposalWithin 14 business days per milestone invoice

Late Payment

Payment is due within 14 business days of the milestone invoice date. If a milestone payment is overdue by 7 business days from the invoice date, active work pauses. If payment remains outstanding 7 business days beyond the payment due date, the preview link is suspended until the balance is cleared. After 30 business days past the due date, the engagement may be terminated under the Termination clause.

Deliverables, Standard Tier (7)

  • PRD (Product Requirements Document)
  • User Persona: built on assumptions, derived from client input
  • User Flow: Figma or FigJam diagram
  • Low-fi (Wireframe): low-fidelity layout, key screens, Figma or FigJam
  • Feature Scoping (MVP-only): single-phase
  • Tech Stack Document
  • Cost & Timeline Estimate

Deliverables, Pro Tier (Standard plus 6 more, total 13)

  • User Persona: upgraded, built on real data from the research phase (replaces Standard version)
  • Customer Journey Map: multi-persona, evidence-backed
  • ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram / Data Model)
  • Risk Analysis: technical, business, regulatory, and operational risks
  • Feature Roadmap: v1 launch scope plus post-launch phasing
  • Vendor Recommendation: specific selection per category, validated by research findings
  • Research Findings: anonymized synthesized insights from the research methods agreed in the proposal

Research Phase (Pro Tier Only)

The Pro tier includes a research phase. The exact methods (which may include user interviews, surveys, analytics review, competitor teardowns, market scans, usability tests, or a combination), the sample size or coverage scope, and the recruitment plan are agreed in the signed proposal.

By default Codemodo runs the research end-to-end. Logistics, recruitment, instrumentation, and execution costs are included in the Pro base price as defined in the proposal. The client may also provide participants, data sources, or existing materials if available.

Specific participant requests, additional research scope beyond what was agreed, or unusual recruitment requirements are discussed case by case as add-on cost via Change Order.

All research interactions are conducted with participant consent where applicable. Recordings, transcripts, raw data, and instruments are retained internally by Codemodo. Only anonymized findings appear in client deliverables. No personally identifiable information is included in deliverables.

Research synthesis informs the persona, customer journey map, vendor selection, and feature scoping deliverables. If recruitment or data acquisition fails on Codemodo's side, or all client-provided sources become unavailable, the timeline is paused until alternative arrangements are agreed.

Revisions

No revision rounds are included for either tier. Changes to deliverables after client sign-off are handled via Change Order, with scope and cost impact assessed and a separate amendment signed before changes begin. Sign-off gate is 5 business days from delivery of each deliverable. If no response is received within 5 business days, the deliverable is considered accepted.

Scope

In scope (both tiers)
  • Discovery workshops (number defined in proposal)
  • Deliverables listed above per tier
  • Handover meeting and document delivery
Out of scope (both tiers)
  • High-fidelity design (covered by UI Design service)
  • Development or implementation (covered by Software Development service)
  • Interactive prototype
  • Branding and logo design
  • Content creation (copy, images, video)
  • Business strategy and market sizing

Standard Tier Disclaimer

The Standard tier is built on assumptions provided by the client. Codemodo structures these assumptions into professional deliverables but does not validate them against real user behavior or market data. Outcomes that depend on assumption accuracy, including feature prioritization, persona accuracy, and cost estimates, are the responsibility of the client to validate during or after development. Clients seeking validated data should select the Pro tier or commission a separate research engagement.

Pro Tier Deliverable Validity

Pro tier deliverables are based on findings from the research phase scoped in the proposal. The research scope is sufficient for qualitative directional insight at the depth agreed and is not a statistically representative study unless the proposal explicitly defines it as such. Findings inform Codemodo's professional recommendations but are not guarantees of market behavior. Codemodo is not liable for outcomes that diverge from research findings during implementation.

Discovery Call Conversion

The free 30-to-60 minute discovery call is for scoping only. If the client requests technical advice or detailed planning during the discovery call, Codemodo will note the scope creep and either redirect the call or recommend a Technical Advisory engagement at the prevailing hourly rate.

Timeline

Standard tier delivery is 2 to 3 weeks from kickoff. Pro tier delivery is 4 to 5 weeks from kickoff by default, extended to accommodate research phase planning, recruitment, execution, and synthesis. The exact Pro timeline depends on the research scope agreed in the proposal. Final timeline is confirmed in the proposal.

Timeline assumes timely client feedback within the sign-off window. Delays in client response, missing inputs, or research participant or data unavailability extend the timeline accordingly.

Cancellation & Termination

Cancellation is permitted at any time after contract signing. Payments made for completed milestones are non-refundable. Payments made for milestones not yet started may be refunded at Codemodo's discretion based on work already completed.

After 30 consecutive business days of client unresponsiveness or 30 business days past due on a payment, Codemodo may terminate the engagement with 14 days' written notice.

Proposal Validity

Product Blueprint proposals are valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue.

Tier Lock

The selected tier (Standard or Pro) is locked at contract signing. Mid-engagement tier change requires a signed Change Order with re-scoping and price adjustment. Standard-to-Pro upgrade adds the Pro-only deliverables and the research phase. Pro-to-Standard downgrade removes the Pro-only deliverables and reduces price proportionally to work not yet started.

General Terms

These terms apply to all Codemodo service engagements. They are incorporated into every signed Service Agreement, alongside the applicable service-specific terms.

Intellectual Property

Full intellectual property rights transfer to the client upon receipt of final and complete payment. This covers source code, design files, documentation, and all project assets. No IP is transferred until all outstanding payments are settled.

During the project, all work-in-progress remains the property of Codemodo. Client access during the project is via preview link only.

Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep all project information, business data, technical details, and commercial terms confidential. Codemodo will not disclose project details publicly without explicit written consent from the client.

Codemodo is willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) at no additional cost before any detailed project discussion. Request via info@codemodo.dev.

Asset Delivery

Source code, project assets, design files, and documentation are released to the client only after full and complete payment is received for the relevant milestone or project.

Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information during discovery and briefing
  • Delivering all required assets (logo, copy, images, credentials) by the agreed date
  • Designating a single point of contact with authority to give approvals
  • Responding to review requests and sign-offs within the agreed feedback window
  • Providing access credentials (server, domain, third-party services) before production deployment

Change Orders

Any request that expands, reduces, or materially changes the agreed scope of work is handled via a Change Order. Codemodo will issue a written Change Order describing the change, its impact on timeline and cost, and the additional fee (if any). Work on the change does not begin until the Change Order is signed by the client. Change Orders are addenda to the original contract and are governed by these same terms.

Subcontracting

Codemodo does not subcontract core development, design, or planning work to third parties without explicit written agreement from the client. If subcontracting is proposed, Codemodo will disclose the scope of work to be subcontracted and the third party involved before proceeding.

Portfolio & Case Study Rights

Codemodo may reference the client's company name and a general description of the engagement (e.g., "built a fintech platform") in its portfolio, website, and marketing materials.

Detailed case studies require explicit written consent from the client before publication. This includes screenshots, metrics, client logos, and testimonials. The client may revoke portfolio permission at any time by written notice. Codemodo will remove the referenced material within 10 business days.

Termination by Codemodo

Codemodo may terminate an engagement under any of the following circumstances:

  • The client is unresponsive for 30 or more consecutive business days despite written follow-up
  • Payment remains outstanding for 30 or more business days past the due date
  • The client engages in conduct that materially obstructs project delivery

Limitation of Liability

Codemodo's total liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the total fees paid by the client for that specific service. Codemodo is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of written notice, either party may pursue mediation through BANI (Badan Arbitrase Nasional Indonesia) or a mutually agreed mediator. If mediation does not resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may escalate through the courts of Jakarta.

Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control. This includes natural disasters, internet or infrastructure outages, government actions, and public health emergencies. The affected party must notify the other in writing as soon as reasonably possible. Project timelines will be adjusted accordingly. Payment obligations for work already completed remain in effect.

Currency & Tax

All prices are quoted in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) and are exclusive of PPN (Pajak Pertambahan Nilai / Value Added Tax) unless explicitly stated otherwise. PPN, if applicable, will be added to the invoice at the prevailing rate. Tax invoices (faktur pajak) are issued upon client request.

Survival

The following provisions survive the termination or expiration of any engagement:

  • Intellectual Property
  • Confidentiality
  • Data Protection & Privacy
  • Limitation of Liability
  • Portfolio & Case Study Rights

Data Protection & Privacy

All client data is used solely for the purpose of delivering the engaged service. This includes business information, user data, credentials, and project-related materials. Codemodo does not use client data for other engagements, training, marketing, or any purpose beyond the scope of the active project.

Work-in-progress data stored in staging and development environments is deleted within 30 business days after the project is completed or terminated. The client may request earlier deletion in writing.

Both parties agree to handle personal data in accordance with applicable Indonesian data protection regulations, including UU PDP (Undang-Undang Pelindungan Data Pribadi).
